Don't use The Lawn Control Center for Snowplowing

I hired The Lawn Control Center serving Lake County, Ohio, for snowplowing for the 2010-2011 season. They offered a very competitive price. Although the price was right, the service was extremely disappointing.

They would never come when they were suppose to. They said in the contract they would come everytime it snowed 2 or more inches. In reality, it had to snow at least 4 inches.

They would rarely come back a second time when it snowed heavily. The 2 times I really needed them this year, I had to shovel by hand. I would leave for work at 7 am, my neighbors drives would all be clear while mine was never touched.

On February 25, I shoveled both of my cars out and after I had the cars out of the driveway, then they showed up. Later that afternoon, they actually came back. However, a garbage can had blown over into my drive. Obviously, if the can blew over, there wasn't much in it. Actually, there was nothing in it. The plow stopped where the can was and plowed the rest of the drive. My wife seeing this, sent our son out to pick up the can so the plow could remove the rest of the snow. Even though the drive saw him pick up the can, he refused to finish plowing the rest of the drive. I came home and had to shovel 2 feet of snow in a 10 X10 area.

Next, on March 11th, the second largest snowfall, the plow never came until 11am. There was so much snow in my drive, the plow got stuck in the drive. Then he never came back. This time I had to shovel two - three feet of snow.

When I would call to talk to someone, when I was inquiring about their service, they were very rude. When I called the last couple times of the season, they didn't even respond. One time I tried calling on a Saturday or a Sunday when they didn't come, I couldn't even leave a message.

This company was highly unreliable and from my experience I would not recommend them. I have low expectations for any snowplowing company, but, this company was far below my very low expectations.
